Blog Reflection #3

It is a simple habit just to google what you are looking for online. Most of what you google can just all be junk. A simple way to have students find better information online is just to recommend websites. Several library websites have links to other great reference sources. The reference sources that the library websites recommend are very reliable. I try my best not just to google information but its quick and easy I dont exactly like google for a research project but I may just use it to find directions to a place or a phone number to a local store. Theres no real good way in breaking the bad habit of searching all you can really do is try your best to go to other sources that be easier to help you with accurate information.

2nd/3rd week of reading :)

The second and third week of reading have been great! Many things sound familiar since I work at the Long Beach Public Library. Yet I have learned a couple new things on the reference interview with a patron. Patrons approach me several times asking me questions and at times I dont know what answer to give them so I refer them to the librarian but now its good to know I may have an asnwer to their question if I could just narrow down there question. It was also nice learning a couple more ways to have a patron approach you to ask a question.

First time blogging

Hey Everyone,
So this would have to be my first time blogging. My friends always tried talking me into it but I took the time to create account but now I finally made one :) Ive read very little blogs and they were random blogs on myspace my friends would create during high school. I think bloogs are good, they help express your mind like a daily journal the only difference is everyone can read it. Blogging will for sure help everyone in class get to know each other a bit more by commenting on each others post. Im guessing with blogging you may put a little bit more detail on whats on your mind and what you like to do in your daily life. My first week with the online class was pretty mellow i cant complain. I just gotta get things done on time and not procrastinate.
